Original 1st printing 8&3/4 x 11&1/4" benefit (*for the Council for Civic Unity) concert flyer, "Abe Lincoln's Birthday", which featured the Grateful Dead appearing with Moby Grape, Sly & the Family Stone, Notes from the Underground and the New Salvation Army Band at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 2/11/1967.
Art by Hank Lelo, image is not part of the numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore series (this show falls on the same date as BG 49), but it does appear in the Art of Rock on page 151 (plate 2.73) in the "Fillmore Auditorium Benefits" chapter and is credited to Bill Graham in the top margin.
Thin stock flyer is in good (B) condition; a pair of thin diagonal bends (3&3/4" and 7&3/4", respectively) going from the upper left margin to the top margin (roughly 3" down from the top edge to just above "Bill" and the apostrophe in "Lincoln's"), plus a small 1/4" tear in the lower left margin, a couple of tiny corner bumps, a few soft creases along the top edge, a trace of handling and a whisper of toning, otherwise fine.
REALLY neat little original 1st printing 1967 Fillmore benefit flyer with an awesome all-Bay Area lineup, highlighted by the Grateful Dead and Sly & the Family Stone appearing on the same bill. KILLER! (no pun intended...)
