Original 1st printing 22 x 14&7/8" concert poster for Blind Faith (featuring Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech) appearing with Delaney & Bonnie and Friends and Taste (featuring Rory Gallagher) at Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 7/18/1969.
Design by Dream Machine, Ltd., medium-thin glossy stock poster is in good (B) condition; a hard vertical center crease going down the center of the image, corner wear (tiny pin holes, pieces of clear tape, creasing and a bit of thinning from tape pulls on the reverse), a 7&1/2" diagonal bend in the upper right corner, light toning, a few stray handling dings, a few tiny bits of clear tape in the corners and left/right center margins, one or two tiny edge tears and a couple of pin-prick surface spots, otherwise fine.
VERY hard-to-find original concert poster from the short-lived British "supergroup".
According to the consignor, this example was taken off the wall of the Electric Circus nightclub (*who were also the promoters of this show) in Toronto in the summer of 1969. Additionally, I was told that low ticket sales/attendance from this event was later used as leverage by the promoters (Brower & Walker) to get Eric Clapton to persuade John Lennon to come to Varsity Stadium in September for the Toronto Rock & Roll Revival. Historic!
