Original 1st (clear "Bindweed Press" credit) printing 14&1/4 x 19&7/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin -her debut performances with the band) appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 6/24-25/1966.

 Medium flat vellum stock poster has been professionally restored to near mint/excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; a set of tack holes (all four corners) have been filled, plus there is a flattened diagonal bend in the upper right margin/corner, a couple of minor corner tip bends and a bit of light moisture rippling, otherwise fine.

 

 An absolutely GORGEOUS FIRST-PRINTING example of the one and only "Zig Zag Man", one of the most celebrated (and reprinted/bootlegged) images from the Avalon series.
