Original 1st printing 4 x 7" concert handbill (with additional 2-color test proof/press wipe) for The Doors appearing with Crome Syrcus and Ars Nova at Bill Graham's Fillmore East in New York City on 3/22-23/1968.
Design by Jimms Nelson, image is not a numbered image from the Fillmore East series, but these were the second series of shows held at the venue under Bill Graham's promotion.
Medium-thin flat index stock handbill is in near mint (A-/B+) condition; a touch of corner wear, ultra-light handling and a couple of tiny pin-prick surface marks in the top left margin around "Bill", otherwise fine. The proof is in good/very good (B to B/B+) condition; it has a couple of pronounced surface stains in the top margin (this is actually grease from the press), along with a few random ink smears, a few semi-soft bends and it is slightly off-register, but for what it is (a press wipe), it compliments the full-color version quite nicely.
AWESOME little pair of ORIGINAL Doors handbills from the legendary '68 Fillmore East shows!
