Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" mimeographed concert flyer for the Who appearing with It's A Beautiful Day and Sweetwater at Bill Graham's Fillmore East in New York City on 5/17-18/1969. Thin flat stock flyer is in excellent (B+) condition; aside from a semi-flattened horizontal center crease, a few stray handling marks and tiny stress creases, this example can't be beat. Very sharp overall. This flyer was distributed by Fillmore East staff in and around the East Village in NYC for ONE DAY ONLY, on Saturday, May 17th, 1969. Apparently, the grocery store next to the Fillmore had caught fire and the previous evening's early show was abruptly cut short (*resulting in the arrest of Pete Townshend for kicking a NYPD officer), so this flyer was hastily made up by the F.E. to inform potential concert attendees that the Saturday evening performances would go on as scheduled, along with a notice for an additional afternoon concert to be held on Sunday, May 18th for ticket holders of the canceled 11:30 Friday show. One of the most UNUSUAL Fillmore East items I have seen! https://whoshaq.wordpress.com/2014/05/08/binky-vs-the-copthe-who-at-the-fillmore-east-the-true-story/
