Original 1st printing 8&1/4 x 11&3/8" 96-page (w/glossy-coated index stock cover, index stock interior) art book featuring the 1962-1980 work of psychedelic/surf/comix legend Rick Griffin. Printed by Paper Tiger in England in 1980, book is in very good shape- a relatively minor amount of cover wear (a few surface scratches, soft corners, a hint of toning along the bottom edge and the original gold $6.98 price sticker), a bit of light handling and a touch of toning on a few pages, but overall it's quite nice and completely intact- no missing/torn pages, solid spine. The book has most of the Fillmore/Avalon/San Francisco designs, along with a good amount of Surf and Christian-themed works... a very comprehensive overview up to 1980. One of the harder-to-find 1st-edition rock art books (this one was somewhat-recently reprinted by Last Gasp), these don't turn up very much at all. Semi-scarce Griffin item.
