Original 1st printing 17&1/8 x 22" concert/event poster for the Cincinnati Pop Festival, held at Cincinnati (OH) Gardens on 3/26/1970. Artist unknown (central image borrowed from Gary Grimshaw), poster lists festival participants Joe Cocker (with Mad Dogs & Englishmen featuring Leon Russell), Savoy Brown, Frijid Pink, Mountain, MC5, Pleasure Seekers (with Suzi Quatro), Amboy Dukes (with Ted Nugent), the Stooges (with Iggy Pop), Brownsville Station, Cradle, Bitter Blood, Balderdash, Whalefeathers, Glass Wall, East Orange Express and Westfauster. Image is #140 in the Russ Gibb Presents series (G/G- 700326 in the Eric King guide) and was co-promoted with Mike Quatro and WEBN-FM. Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a couple of thin diagonal bends in the upper left corner (about 5-6" each), a slight curl to the paper from being rolled, a few tiny stray stress dings and thin handling bends, a couple of scattered light surface stains and a tiny edge ding or two, otherwise fine. VERY VERY hard-to-find late-period Russ Gibb poster from the Grande series, this is a really sweet-looking example.
