Original 1st printing 17&7/8 x 24" concert/event poster for the 8/30-9/2/1969 Texas Pop Festival, held at Texas Motor Speedway in Lewisville, TX. Art by (and SIGNED by) Tom Bailey, this is one of the "merchandising" posters that were sold at the event. Poster lists festival participants Canned Heat, Johnny Winter, Janis Joplin, Rotary Connection, Sam & Dave, Tony Joe White, Freddie King, James Cotton Blues Band, Incredible String Band, Led Zeppelin, Herbie Mann, Sweetwater, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Spirit, Ten Years After, the Nazz, Sly & the Family Stone, Santana, Grand Funk "Railway" and the Chicago Transit Authority. Thin flat textured stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; a light amount of surface wear and a few scattered handling dings, a thin diagonal/curved bend across the center of the image, a few scattered tiny age spots, a bit of fraying in the top left corner, a few scattered edge nicks/tiny bends and a small dime-shaped spot of "home restoration" at the top center margin (the area is slightly discolored), otherwise this is a VERY nice-looking SIGNED example of the event-issued merchandise version of the Texas Pop Festival poster.
