 ITEM DESCRIPTION
Original 1st printing 39 x 62&1/2" EXTRA-LARGE silkscreen concert poster (almost the size of a small billboard) for "THE BIG SHOW", held at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, CA on 8/2-4/1968 (*8/2 canceled, three day show was shortened to two).

Though no acts are listed, the shows featured appearances by: the Jeff Beck Group (featuring Rod Stewart and Ron Wood) with Blue Cheer, the Steve Miller Band, Big Mama Thornton (and the original Hound Dog Band) and Charles Lloyd (8/3), and the Jeff Beck Group with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Ike & Tina Turner, the Electric Flag (Buddy Miles Express), Magic Sam, the Steve Miller Band and Kaleidoscope (8/4)

Art by John Van Hamersveld, medium-thick flat vellum "fly-posting" stock silkscreen poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a light to moderate degree of edge wear, several small edge/corner tears and a small (relative to the size) area of missing paper in the top left corner tip (about 3-4"), a series of extra-soft horizontal roll bends, a series of thin vertical stress bends in the center of the image, numerous small handling/stress dings here and there, some waviness to the paper, but overall not bad.

*I would recommend that this piece be linen-backed for display purposes, as it will take a rather large wall space to hang. This is without a doubt the most MASSIVE concert poster I have seen in recent memory.
