Original 1st printing 16 x 26&1/2" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with Albert King and Pacific Gas & Electric at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, CA from 5/2-4/1968.
Art by Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 277 (plate 3.69) and is part of the Pinnacle/Shrine series.
Medium-thick glossy-coated index stock sheet is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a series of thin horizontal roll creases, a pin hole in the top center margin, a 3" diagonal bend in the top left corner, a few stray surface scuffs and crescent-shaped bends scattered around the edges and a few within the image area, a well-hidden thin stress bend or two and a hint of ink smear on the reverse, otherwise fine.
Very whimsical Big Brother poster from the dawn of the underground comix era, created by two of the genre's most important artists. KILLER collaboration!
