 ITEM DESCRIPTION
Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" benefit concert flyer (to provide funding for a community center in Mississippi and medical aid to Vietnam), held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 3/12/1967.

Thin flat stock flyer ("Phoenix-Sunflower Benefit") lists appearances by Quicksilver Messenger Service, along with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin), Country Joe & the Fish and the Steve Miller Blues Band.

Artist unknown, image is not a numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore image (this show falls on the same date as the BG 54 show), but it is featured in "The Art of the Fillmore" book on page 65.

Thin stock flyer is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a 2" hard diagonal bend in the top right-hand corner, a thin vertical roll bend/crease running down the right edge, a thin diagonal bend traversing the bottom edge of "Phoenix Sunflower", a few thin creases along the upper left edge, slightly off-register printing and a couple of thin bends running along the bottom edge, otherwise fine.

Very decent example of this early 1967 Fillmore benefit flyer with an all-star San Francisco lineup.
