Original 1st printing 22 x 28" event poster for the 7/17/1967 opening of the Joint Show, held at the Moore Gallery in San Francisco, CA and featuring music by Country Joe & the Fish and exhibited art by Alton Kelley (who did this version of the poster), Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Wes Wilson, Stanley Mouse and more.
Art by the aforementioned Alton Kelley (with a Gene Anthony portrait of the Grateful Dead's Ron "Pigpen" McKernan), image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 235 (plate 2.350).
Medium glossy-coated index stock poster is in absolutely fantastic mint/near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; aside from a couple of stray fingerprints and a tiny surface ding or two, this example is essentially as crisp/clean as they come.
GREAT-looking original 1st printing 1967 psychedelic event poster by the late great Alton Kelley.
