Set of (3) original 1st printing approximately 14&1/4 x 21&3/4" concert posters for a trio of 1967 concerts held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco headlined by the Charlatans. Art by Rick Griffin and Robert Fried, (with a photo by Herb Greene), images ("CHA-RLAT-ANS") are numbers 63, 67 and 71 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Openers at the shows included the New Salvation Army Band (3/26-28/1967, FD 63), 13th Floor Elevators (with Roky Erickson- 6/22-25/1967, FD 67) and the Youngbloods with the Other Half (7/13-16/1967, FD 71) Medium flat index stock posters are all in excellent (B+) condition overall; all three have thin diagonal bends in the bottom left corners (each about 1", the FD 71 also has a similar bend in the top left corner), they all have a few well-camouflaged handling/pinch bends and tiny edge dings scattered here and there, but as a whole- the set looks VERY sharp. A really cool-looking set of original 1967 Avalon posters that would look great framed up together.
