Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" benefit concert flyer (to provide funding for filmmaker Robert Nelson's movie "The Great Blondin"), held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 3/11-12/1966. (2-day event lists Bill as the promoter in the bottom left corner).
Thin flat stock flyer lists appearances by Quicksilver Messenger Service (both days), along with the Great Society (featuring a pre-Jefferson Airplane Grace Slick) and the Gentlemen's Band (3/11) and Mystery Trend, Family Tree and Third Rail (3/12).
Artist unknown, image is not a numbered Bill Graham/Fillmore image (this show falls between the BG #1 and BG #2 shows), but it is featured in "The Art of the Fillmore" book on page 32.
Thin stock flyer is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; just a couple of VERY light handling creases, a touch of edge toning and a pair of ultra-soft vertical wavy "roll bends", otherwise it is a superb-looking example of this VERY early and rather uncommon 1966 Fillmore benefit flyer.
