Original 1st printing 14 x 21" concert poster, 11&1/4 x 16&5/8" 4-page newsprint program and 4" diameter unused (on backing) "rumpersticker" for the Toronto Pop Festival, held at Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) on 6/21-22/1969. Designer unknown, the event featured performances by: the Modern Rock Quartet, Kensington Market, Man, Eric Andersen, Carla Thomas & the Bar-Kays, Al Kooper, the Band, S.R.C., the Bonzo Dog Band, Elephant's Memory, Rotary Connection (with Minnie Ripperton), Johnny Winter, Velvet Underground (with Lou Reed), Sly & the Family Stone, Motherlode, Stone Soul Children, Procol Harum, Edwin Starr, Slim Harpo, Chuck Berry, Tiny Tim, Nucleus, Man, Dr. John the Night Tripper, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Charlebois and Steppenwolf. Medium flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; only a tiny set of pinholes, a touch of toning and a couple of tiny surface stains near the "Coca-Cola" logo, otherwise fine. Thin newsprint stock program is toned and has a bit of a frayed bottom edge, a small wedge tear in the right center margin and a hint of wear along the spine, but is otherwise fine- completely intact, no doodles, missing pieces, etc. The rumpersticker is in mint/near mint shape- never peeled/used and still on the wax-paper backing. A SUPREMELY COOL set of Toronto Pop items from one of the most eclectic festivals from the summer of 1969; Check out Norm Horner's AWESOME color photos from the event HERE; http://www.flickr.com/photos/10113805@N02/sets/72157629781413149/ (photo c.
