Original 1st printing 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" double-sided concert handbill/top 30 radio survey (CFOX-AM) forthe 6/27-28/1970 edition of the Trans Continental Pop Festival, held at the Canadian National Exhibition Park Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Acts listed include the Grateful ("Greatful") Dead, Janis Joplin, the Band, Buddy Guy, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Mashmakan, Robert Charlebois, James & the Good Brothers, Eric Andersen, Mountain, Ian & Sylvia and the Great Speckled Bird, Tom Rush, Traffic, Melanie, Sea Train and Ten Years After (the reverse side also has the top 30 hits for the week of 6/26/1970). Thin flat stock handbill is in decent (B/B- to B-) condition; a moderate to heavy amount of wear- creases, bends, smudges, numerous small edge tears and nicks, dirt stains, etc.- this example was quite obviously picked up right off the street. Still, a presentable-enough artifact from the Toronto stop of the tour. Unlike the posters and larger flyers, this version actually lists the show as "Festival Express" instead of "Trans-Continental Pop Festival". We also have a RED version of this handbill listed separately. Uncommon handbill from the legendary train tour, check out the Band performing "The Weight" at the show; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-XmvrZRKGc
