Original 1st printing 20 x 26" 1986 hand-pulled embossed (by Stanley Mouse) silkscreen art poster for the Grateful Dead.
Art by (and SIGNED and numbered 84/500* in pencil by) Rick Griffin, thick flat oak-tag (22.5 rag stock) silkscreen poster is in mint/near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; an overall VERY crisp/clean example of the oft-coveted "Surfing Skeletons" Grateful Dead image. This particular version has the "mustard" yellow pass of ink in the California state outline (I have also seen brown and metallic gold versions), apparently the colors vary within the run.
Originally produced in late 1986 to coincide with the opening of Psychedelic Solution Gallery in NYC (the image is # 4 in the PS/Psychedelic Solution series), the print run was initially intended to include 500 units- less than 200 of them were actually completed/signed/numbered.
AWESOME-looking (and now VERY hard-to-find) Rick Griffin Grateful Dead image from the 1980's.
