Original 1st printing (union logo #221) 5&1/2 x 8&1/2" concert handbil for the Grateful Dead appearing with the Jaywalkers at the Santa Rosa (CA) Veteran's Hall on 6/17-18/1966.

 

 Art by Wes Wilson, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 232 (plate 2.338).

 

 Thin flat stock handbill is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a series of (3) flattened horizontal folds, a quartet of light brown tape shadows and slight paper thinning in the four corners, light creasing and a few soft stains in the upper left corner and a touch of handling, otherwise fine.

 

 Overall, a very nice-looking example of this early Wes Wilson-designed Dead concert handbill from the Art of Rock book (which mistakenly advertises the venue as being located in San Jose).
