Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert flyer for a series of performances held at Steve Paul's Scene (club) in New York City from 9/20-11/7/1968. Acts listed include: Spooky Tooth (9/20-26), the Sunshine Company (9/23-29), Buddy Guy (9/27-29), Ten Years After (9/27-29), Albert King (10/15-17, 21-27) and Traffic (featuring Steve Winwood) from 11/5-7. Designer unknown, thin flat stock flyer is in good/decent (B/B- to B-) condition; a series of flattened vertical/diagonal creases (item was folded into a paper airplane at one point) a few small tears, semi-pronounced creases and soft tatters along the bottom edge, several stray handling marks and surface scuffs, a few small edge dings and tiny "crinkle" creases, otherwise fine.
ULTRA-uncommon NYC piece from one of the most exciting years of Steve Paul's legendary nightspot; amusingly enough, a small blurb on this piece encourages late-show attendees of Fillmore East concerts to come uptown to the Scene afterwards- a very interesting side note, for sure. Come to think of it, this is the first flyer I've ever seen from this venue.
