Original 1st printing 8&1/2 x 11" concert/event flyer for beat poet Allen Ginsberg with Swami Bhaktivendanta appearing along with the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Moby Grape in a benefit performance (for the San Francisco Krishna Temple), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/29/1967.
Designer unknown, image ("Krishna Consciousness Comes West") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 107 (plate 2.18).
Thin flat stock flyer is in very good (B/B+) condition; light handling/creasing/moisture rippling, a couple of tiny stains in the right border and in the bottom left corner (just below the ticket outlet area) and a whisper of toning, otherwise fine.
Very decent-looking example of this early '67 Avalon benefit flyer with a great design and a really eclectic lineup.
