Original 1st printing 13&5/8 x 19&1/8" concert poster Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band appearing with the Chocolate Watchband, the Great Pumpkin and the Good News* (not listed, they were "auditioning" for Bill Graham) at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA from 10/28-30/1966.

 

 Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 34 in the Bill Graham/Fillmore series, this is a VERY UNCOMMON LIGHT-PURPLE 2-COLOR VARIANT (no final blue pass of ink).

 

 Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; staple/pin holes in each of the four corners, a quartet of brown glue residue stains on the reverse (one in each corner, about 1-2" square each) and a very minor amount of handling/surface wear, otherwise fine.

 

 VERY neat-looking oddball version of the BG 34, this is the first one of these I've seen.
