Original 1st printing 12&7/8 x 19&3/4" concert/event poster for beat poet Allen Ginsberg with Swami Bhaktivendanta appearing along with the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and Moby Grape in a benefit performance (for the San Francisco Krishna Temple), held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/29/1967.
Designer unknown, image ("Krishna Consciousness Comes West") is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 107 (plate 2.18).
Medium flat vellum stock poster is in absolutely stunning mint/near mint to near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; maybe there's a tiny bump in one of the corners or a stray surface ding hiding somewhere, but I certainly can't see anything obvious.
Truly a GORGEOUS example of this early '67 Avalon benefit poster with a great design and a fantastic lineup.
