Original 1st printing 10&7/8 x 16&7/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead appearing with Savoy Brown (*canceled, replaced by the Sons of Champlin) and AUM at the Community Concourse (Golden Hall) in San Diego, CA on 1/10/1970. Art by Dennis Friga, image (handbill) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 372 (plate 4.120)- the poster has a different color scheme (orange/black as opposed to yellow/green). Medium-thick vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; scattered tack holes (one in each corner and a few within the image area), a few tiny surface "chips" in the upper corners and in the ticket outlet area, a well-camouflaged tape residue mark between "Saturday" and "Jan." and a few stray edge nicks, otherwise fine. A very decent-looking example of this low-run regional Southern California Grateful Dead image, this poster doesn't come around as often as it used to.
