Original 1st printing 13&3/4 x 22&1/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin), appearing with the Blue House Basement, the Giant Sunflower and the Light House at the Continental Auditorium (Ballroom) in Santa Clara, CA on 1/28/1967. Art by P.L.C., medium to medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in decent (B-) condition; a couple of areas of missing paper in the top left corner and bottom center margin, moderate to heavy corner wear (pulls/creasing/holes, etc.), bits of tape shadowing/subtle residue in the top/bottom margins, a tack hole in the top center, light handling/surface wear, etc... this one obviously saw some life, likely pulled down at the time of the show. The body of the poster is actually still pretty decent-looking (strong/bright/heavy ink) and would probably clean up nicely with a good restoration job. Very visually appealing regional CA Big Brother piece.
