Original 1st printing 13&1/8 x 22" concert poster for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band appearing with the Rationals and Thyme on 12/21/1968 and Cream appearing with MC5, Billy C. and the Sunshine and Soap on 12/22-23/1968, all shows held at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI. Art by Gary Grimshaw, image ("Ming") is # 59 in the Russ Gibb Presents/Grande series (this is the 15th poster in the series). Medium flat vellum stock poster is in used (B-) condition, extensive edge/corner wear with areas of missing paper in three of the four corners, a series of staple/pin holes/small pulls/nicks/tears around the outer edges, a hard horizontal center fold, water/moisture rippling along the left side, toning, a large 3-4" tear in the upper left margin... you get the idea, this one was up at the time and more than likely displayed outdoors (Michigan weather in December has been known to be a bit harsh at times), so it shows quite a bit of wear. Still, these almost never show up in ANY condition, just finding one can be a real challenge. One of the COOLEST Grande/Grimshaw images from the series.
