Original 1st printing 32&3/4 x 23&1/2" (linen-backed to 37&4/8 x 28&1/4" total size) concert poster and 3&3/4 x 3&1/4" ticket stub for the 2nd Summer Rock Festival, held at the Radstadion in Frankfurt (West) Germany on 7/21-22/1973. Design by Mama Concerts (promoter), the poster lists appearances by the Faces (with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood), Black Sabbath (with Ozzy Osbourne), Sly & the Family Stone, Marsha Hunt, Canned Heat, the Heavy Metal Kids, Rory Gallagher, Curved Air, Jon Hiseman's Tempest, the Spencer Davis Group and more. Medium-thin flat index "fly posting" stock (although the backing process has added a bit of a glossy sheen) poster has been professionally restored to near mint (A- to A-/B+) condition; aside from the aforementioned linen-backing, a series of machine-folds have been flattened/pressed out and a couple of areas appear to have been cleaned, but other than that, it looks fine. The ticket stub has a little bit of wear/handling/creasing and a series of pulls on the reverse (looks like it was removed from a scrap book), but it is quite presentable. A neat pair of items from an early-'70's West German 2-day mega-fest.
