Original 1st printing 15&1/8 x 22&3/8" concert poster for Erma Franklin appearing with Santana and Frumoius Bandersnatch at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco, CA from 4/19-21/1968. Art by Steve Catron, image ("Acid Dropper" or "Pebble Dropper") is featured in the Art of Rock on page 180 (plate 2.162). Medium flat index stock poster is in excellent (B+) condition; a light amount of edge wear/creasing (a few tiny indentations and thin creases, mostly in the upper left/right margins and along the top edge) with a few tiny pin-prick age spots dotting the left margin, a pronounced curl to the paper (it was rolled up for many years) and a few very tiny (and well-camouflaged) vertical stress bends, otherwise fine. A GORGEOUS example of this HIGHLY psychedelic 1968 Carousel image. As a note of provenance, this particular example comes from someone who was very involved in the creation/development of the Carousel Ballroom. Untouchable pedigree on this piece.
