 ITEM DESCRIPTION

Original 1st printing 25 x 18&1/4" concert/event poster for the 8/30-9/1/1969 Texas Pop Festival, held at Texas Motor Speedway, just outside of Lewisville, TX. Art by Lance Bragg, this version (1st state on thin flat orange stock) lists festival participants B.B. King, Canned Heat, Chicago Transit Authority, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Freddie King, Herbie mann, the Incredible String Band, Janis Joplin, the Nazz, Led Zeppelin, Rotary Connection, Sam & Dave, Sly & the Family Stone, Spirit, Ten Years After and Tony Joe White. Medium-thin flat index stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a set of tack/pin holes (each of the four corners), a few scattered tiny creases/handling bends around the outer edges with a soft diagonal bend in the lower left corner, a few tiny surface stains (a pair of tape residue shadows in the lower right corners) and a couple of light tape pulls on the reverse, otherwise fine. This 1st-state version (with a number of different acts listed) is definitely not an easy poster to find, most were replaced by the 2nd state/updated versions. Check out some 8mm footage of Led Zeppelin from their set on the 31st;
