Original 1st printing 22&3/4 x 11&3/8" banner-style concert poster for the Grateful Dead supported by the Blues Image (house band), the Bangles (not the LA girl group) and the Kollections at Thee Image in Miami, FL. *This particular poster doubles as a Warner Brothers Records promotional poster advertising the "Dark Star"-"Born Cross-Eyed" single (released the same month). The Dead appeared at the club from 4/12-14 and from 4/19-21 (they also played a "Love-In" in nearby Greynolds Park on Easter Sunday, the 14th- busy week for the band!). Designer/photographers unknown (uncredited), medium-thin glossy stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a hard vertical fold (as issued), corner wear (missing paper in the top left/right corners, along with a few small-to-medium-sized diagonal bends and a piece of fossilized tape in the top left corner), along with a series of handling dings, a few tiny surface marks and a stray thin stress crease or two, otherwise fine. UNBELIEVABLY SCARCE Dead poster, this particular example was saved from the event by someone involved with one of the bands, and is thus far the ONLY ONE I've ever seen. It appears that WB was more involved in promoting select performances much earlier than previously known- I'm assuming there was some connection to the club for this one.... a VERY, VERY interesting '68 Dead poster.
