Original 1st (thin left/right margin, no "Distributed By" credit or additional David Byrd credit) printing 18&1/4 x 26&1/2" concert poster for the Who performing their rock opera "Tommy" ("the Final Performance") at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center in New York, NY on 6/7/1970. Art by David Byrd, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 404 (plate 4.221). Medium-thin glossy silver stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a 4" diagonal tear in the bottom margin (taped on the reverse), a bit of edge wear (a tiny nip and edge tear in the top left margin), a few very thin horizontal roll bends, scattered pinch dings/stress bends and a stray surface mark or two, otherwise fine. Most of the issues on this one would probably virtually disappear in a frame. One of the most perennially-requested Who images from the "Tommy" era, check out the photo of Bill Graham with one of these exact same (thin margin) posters hanging in his office at the Fillmore East.
