Original 1st printing 13 x 21&7/8" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) appearing with the MC5 and Pink Peech Mob on 3/1/1968 and with Tiffany Shade and Family Dumptruck on 3/2/1968, both shows at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, MI. Art by Gary Grimshaw with a photo by Irving Penn, image is # 71 in the Russ Gibb Presents/Grande series and is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 299 (plate 3.141). Medium flat index stock poster is in near mint to excellent (A-/B+ to B+) condition; aside from a few tiny handling dings and a stray crease or two along the top edge and an almost-invisible soft horizontal bend about 7" up from the bottom edge, this one is essentially about as clean as they come. A GORGEOUS 1st printing example of one of Grimshaw's finest efforts, featuring an iconic photo of the band.
