Original 1st printing 18 x 24&1/8" concert poster featuring the 5/20-6/27/1971 schedule of shows at Bill Graham's Fillmore East in New York City; shows/performers listed include: Leon Russell with Taj Mahal (5/20-23), Lee Michaels and Fanny with special guests Humble Pie (5/28-29), Laura Nyro (5/30), Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention with Head Over Heels (6/4-5, including an unannounced appearance by John Lennon and Yoko Ono), Bloodrock with Glass Harp and Alice Cooper (6/11-12), B.B. King (6/18-19), Johnny Winter with Edgar Winter's White Trash (6/24) and the Allman Brothers Band with the J. Geils Band (6/25-27). Design by David Byrd, image is number 11 (the final poster) in the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series and is featured in the Art of Rock on page 158 (plate 2.93); thin glossy stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; a moderate degree of horizontal moisture rippling/warping along the bottom half of the poster, a tiny nip out of the top center edge and a few stray handling/surface dings, otherwise fine. The closing night party was one of the most legendary blow-outs in Fillmore history, including special guest appearances (the Beach Boys, Mountain) and an Allman Brothers set that lasted well past sunrise.
