Original 1st printing 11&7/8 x 20&3/8" concert/event poster for Sing Out! Magazine's "Hootenanny at Carnegie Hall", held at the venerable New York City venue on 9/21/1963 and featuring Len Chandler, the Charles River Valley Boys, Peter Lafarge, Hedy West, Jean Redpath, Tony Saletan, Phil Ochs and Dave Van Ronk (and His Jug Stompers). Design by Marlene, thick textured ("pebbled") vellum stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a series of pin holes throughout the poster, along with a small wedge tear just above the right eye, a few small horizontal stress bends, diagonal bends/creases/wear in the corners, a few scattered edge nicks/tiny tears, assorted surface wear (a few tiny stains and little surface scuffs), light toning, etc... this one was up on display in '63 and pulled down by a VERY active member of the early-'60's Greenwich Village folk scene (a couple of the performers listed on this one were actually personal friends of the consignor); this is probably one of the COOLEST pre-psychedelic era items I've ever had to offer. An AWESOME folk-era artifact.
