Original 1st printing 20&3/8 x 28" event poster for the Hog Farm hosting a series of Thursday night "Open Celebrations" at Cinemateque 16 in Los Angeles, CA, circa late 1967-early 1968. Art by Rick Griffin, image (2nd printing 1976 European Edition) is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 238 (plate 2.358). Thin glossy stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a long soft vertical roll bend and 1" tear in the lower right margin, a series of tiny edge nicks, scattered handling creases and tiny stress bends here and there, but overall it is one of the better examples I've seen. The actual 1960's-era 1st printing of this poster is EXTREMELY hard to find, especially in decent shape. The fragility of the stock tends to accept damage very easily, but this example seems to have been spared most of the usual wear and tear associated with these posters. VERY, VERY scarce Griffin poster, I've included a photo of the second so you can see the assorted differences between the two (the "Royal" can, the RG signature, the yellow stars, etc..).
