Original 1st printing 22&3/4 x 27&1/8" 1967 merchandising/"head shop" poster featuring Mothers of Invention leader Frank Zappa, referencing the 1967-69 "Uncle Meat" film/album project. Design by Liberty Graphics of New York (a series of photos of FZ wielding a machete and a jar of peanut butter), image is from the Liberty Graphics/"Cafe Au Go-Go" series; other posters from the series (most promoting Cafe Au-Go-Go shows) were sold upstairs from the Cafe at "the Infinite Poster"- FZ was appearing at the Cafe Au Go-Go (Garrick Theatre) in New York City from 5/2-21/1967, so I'm assuming it was done around the same time. Medium glossy stock poster is in good/decent (B to B/B-) condition; a hint of toning, a series of small tears, creasing and a long vertical roll bend along the left edge, diagonal creasing/small tears in the upper left corner, several scattered stress creases, tiny roll bends and pinch dings, a 5" diagonal bend in the lower right corner, a few stray surface dings and tiny scuffs... this one definitely saw some use. Still, a very wild-looking original Zappa poster from the '60's with a very weird design. Never seen this one before.
