Original 1st printing 5&3/8 x 8&3/8" thin paper double-sided handbill for the 9/26-12/6/1969 schedule of Bill Graham-presented shows at the Fillmore East in New York City; acts listed include: Country Joe & the Fish with the Grateful Dead and Sha-Na-Na (9/26-27), Chuck Berry, John Mayall and the Elvin Bishop Group (10/3-4), Spirit with the Kinks and the Bonzo Dog Band (10/17-18), the Who (performing "Tommy") with King Crimson and AUM (10/20-25), Mountain with the Steve Miller Band and the Move (10/31-11/1), Santana (11/7-8), Johnny Winter and Chicago (11/14-15), Joe Cocker & the Grease Band with Fleetwood Mac (11/21-22), Jefferson Airplane with the Youngbloods (11/26, 28-29) and Jethro Tull (12/5-6). Design by Jerry Pompili, image is an un-numbered part of the Bill Graham/Fillmore East series; thin flat stock handbill is in near mint (A-/B+) condition; aside from a couple of very well-camouflaged (and soft) handling dings, this is essentially as clean an example as you can hope to find. EPIC run of shows listed on this one, highlighted by the Who's week-long run of the complete "Tommy" in October.
