Official promoter-issued 1966/67 2nd printing 14&1/4 x 19&3/4" concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin -her debut performances with the band) appearing with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 6/24-25/1966. Art by Stanley Mouse (who also SIGNED the poster in pencil) and Alton Kelley, image ("Zig-Zag") is # 14 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; a series of 4-5 horizontal stress bends and a few soft waves traversing the length of the poster, several scattered ultra-tiny surface dings and scuffs, a few well-hidden pinch/handling dings and a touch of edge wear, otherwise a very bright/crisp SIGNED example of the "Zig-Zag" that won't set you back an arm and a leg. This one would look great in a frame.
