Original 1st printing 14 x 20" concert poster for Los Angeles-based folk-pop-rockers the Grass Roots appearing with the Leaves and the Grateful Dead (their Family Dog debut) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 5/27-28/1966. Art by (and SIGNED in black sharpie by) Wes Wilson, image ("Hayfever") is # 10 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good (B) condition; a single tack hole in the top center, along with staple holes in the left/right center margins and bottom corners, a series of light stains scattered in several areas of the poster (mostly around the "Grateful Dead" lettering, along with another on the "M" of "May" and just to the right of the Dog logo) and a stray tiny handling/surface ding or two, otherwise fine- it lats flat and the colors are not at all diminished- it's a truly fine SIGNED example of this VERY early Family Dog 1st printing poster featuring none other than the Grateful Dead.
