Original 1st printing 8&3/8 x 10&7/8" concert flyer for the Steve Miller (Blues) Band appearing from 1/10-15/1967 and Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) from 1/17-22/1967, both engagements at the Matrix in San Francisco, CA. Artist unknown, image corresponds with Victor Moscoso's Neon Rose #2 and # 3 images; this image directly references the abandonment of the club's liquor license to accommodate underage patrons. Thin flat stock flyer is in good/decent (B/B-) condition; the piece showed up in a frame and upon removing it, it was discovered that the piece had been heat mounted to a 1/8" thick piece of foam core, in addition to having a bit of dirt/smudging in the upper/lower right corners and a few tiny surface scuffs here and there... it may be able to be removed by a professional restoration expert, but due to the fragility of the paper I've decided to leave it be. Regardless of the obvious issues, it remains an incredibly scarce (and really interesting) Matrix Big Brother artifact and should surely find its way into a proper collection.
