Original 1st United States edition (printed in March/April of 1969 by Darien House of New York, it is the 2nd "official" printing) 33&1/8 x 46&1/8" extra-large European "kiosk"-style concert poster for the Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing at the Beethovenshalle in Stuttgart, (West) Germany on 1/15/1969* (the Stuttgart show was actually on the 19th, the 1/15 date was made up specifically for this edition of the poster). Design by (and SIGNED in flair pen by) Gunther Kieser, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 311 (plate 3.185). Medium-thick flat index "fly posting" stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a slight curl to the poster from being rolled, slight edge wear (edge crinkles, nicks and a tiny tear or two) along the left/right margins, a 1/4-1/2" x 3" jagged cut (a small sliver, really) along the bottom left edge, a few stray stress bends and small creases and a trio of tiny archival mounting tape remnants along the reverse top edge, otherwise fine. Probably THE most famous Hendrix concert image of all time (next to Rick Griffin's Flying Eyeball image, of course...), this is is actually a really sharp-looking example overall... especially considering the MASSIVE dimensions of this one. AND it's SIGNED by the elusive Gunther Kieser himself. KILLER.
