Original 10 oz. commemorative glass mug created for the Grateful Dead's performance at the Family Dog at 1601 West Evans in Denver, CO on 9/22-23/1967. Designer unknown (the "Grateful Dead" lettering is reminiscent of Stanley Mouse, but I can't prove it.), image corresponds with # 82/D-2 in the Family Dog/Denver series. Glass is in great/unused (as far as I can tell) condition- the story I was told was that it was issued to employees of the Denver Dog in late 1967 or early 1968 to commemorate the sold-out run of Dead shows. I have no additional information, but this glass was found in a collection with additional Denver Dog ephemera, all of which was original. One of the most UNUSUAL Family Dog/Grateful Dead items I have EVER offered, this one is strictly for the sophisticated beverage-drinking obscurity enthusiast. Pretty cool, huh?
