Original 1st (black and white pre-concert) printing 22&1/2 x 17&1/2" concert poster for "BUSTED!", a benefit for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, held at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 4/12/1967. The Bill Graham-sponsored event featured performances by the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Andrew Staples and Loading Zone. Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley (who also entirely HAND-COLORED (with art marker) and SIGNED/DATED ('96) the poster), image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 151 (plate 2.71). Medium flat index stock poster is in superb near mint (A-/B+) condition; aside from a couple of stray pinch dings/light handling smudges and a very tiny "v"-shaped wedge tear/punch hole in the top right corner, it is otherwise a STUNNING example of a really cool ONE-OF-A-KIND poster featuring a unique spin on a classic/ubiquitous Mouse/Kelley Dead/Airplane image. I actually remember sending these out to Kelley back in 1996 (when I was at Psychedelic Solution) and being blown away when the packages came back with all of the amazing hand-colored goodies.... just awesome.
