Original 1st printing 13&7/8 x 20&1/8" concert poster for the Grateful Dead with Quicksilver Messenger Service at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 1/27-28/1967. Art by Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley, image is # 45 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Medium flat index stock poster is in very good (B/B+) condition; a 1" tear in the top center margin (taped on the reverse), a 2" diagonal bend in the top right corner, a few scattered handling bends/light creases and a tiny edge tear or two along the top margin, a stray fingerprint or two, a couple of tiny nips in the top left/right corner tips, a light amount of horizontal creasing in the lower right margin and a set of very small tape marks on the reverse, otherwise fine. Very nice-looking 1st printing example of this classic Mouse/Kelley Dead image, with very little of the usual heavy smudging associated with the gold ink on this one.... apparently there's even a (disputed) tape of the show from the 27th; judge for yourself HERE:
