Original 1st printing and official promoter-issued 2nd printing 16&1/4 x 21&3/4" concert posters for Cream (featuring Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker) with Taj Mahal and the James Cotton Blues Band at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, CA on 2/24/1968. Art by Frank Bettencourt, image is part of the Jim Salzer Presents series. 1st printing is on medium-thin vellum stock and has numerous conditional issues; missing paper in the corners, creasing, tape stains and a few tiny tears in the margins, light surface wear, a few scattered tiny scuffs, etc... about a B- condition overall, a good candidate for restoration. The medium-thin flat index stock 2nd printing poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a set of four (4) semi-invisible/flattened horizontal bends, a minor nip out of the right margin, a trace of handling/surface wear and a pair of small tape stains on the reverse, otherwise fine. While the second printings are fairly common and are the most commonly offered, the real-deal 1st printing is EXCEPTIONALLY scarce. In addition to the difference in paper stock, the colors and photo resolution are MUCH darker and more detailed on the original (see photos). This is only the second 1st printing example I've seen in almost 18 years.
