Original 1st printing 6&1/4 x 13&7/8" concert handbill for the Grateful Dead with the Hindustani Jazz Sextet (with Don Ellis) and Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin) at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA on 7/14/1966. Show was presented by the Calliope Company (not part of the Bill Graham series). Art by McCallum, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 185 (plate 2.182). Medium-thick flat vellum stock handbill is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a pair of horizontal bends/folds at top/bottom center, minor corner creasing, light handling and a hint of light creasing/wear along the top edge, otherwise fine. Very nice-looking early '66 Dead/Big Brother handbill from an uncommon non-BG Fillmore event.
