Original 1st printing 12&5/8 x 18&7/8" schedule-style concert poster for a series of April 1968 shows held at Thee Image in Miami Beach, FL. Artist/designer unknown, shows listed include: Country Joe & the Fish on 4/5-7, the Yardbirds (featuring Jimmy Page) on 4/8-10 and the Grateful Dead on 4/12-14 (they actually came back for a return engagement on 4/19-21 and also played a "Love-In" in nearby Greynolds Park on Easter Sunday, the 14th). There was also an unannounced "special" show on 4/11 that featured a performance by Cream (*more on that below) and all shows were supported by either the Blues Image (who also helped to run the club), the Bangles (not the LA girl group) or Kollections. Medium flat index stock poster is in good to very good (B to B/B+) condition; a light to moderate degree of toning on the light blue pass of ink (it has started to turn slightly gray), assorted handling dings/light creasing, slight moisture rippling, a brown tape mark on the reverse that has started to peek through just to the left of "Yardbirds", a few scattered pin holes in the top margin, tape pulls on the reverse and a couple of tiny edge tears/tiny nicks, but a lot of the cosmetic stuff is pretty well camouflaged by the intricate design. VERY cool poster with a BUNCH of unknown/not obvious factors that make it even more interesting.... for instance, the aforementioned show on 4/11 by the one and only Cream. Apparently, the booking was kept secret from the public by the promoters, but hinted at HEAVILY during the Country Joe and Yardbirds shows as a "Spring Break special" (it was that time of year in Florida, after all...); word got out quickly and the place was packed... someone even managed to pop off a neat snapshot of Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker (see photo, also a Jimmy Page snap from the same week)!
