Set of (4) original near mint condition 1st printing thin paper concert flyers (all approximately 8&1/2 x 11") for a series of shows held in the Summer of 1968 at Aaron Russo's 'Lectric Theatre (before it became the Kinetic Playground) in Chicago, IL. Artist/designer unknown, performances listed include: Blue Cheer on 6/28-30 (with the Hello People, who also played on 6/26-27), Country Joe & the Fish with Hawk (7/3-4), Rotary Connection (featuring Minnie Ripperton) and the Growin' Concern (7/5-7), the Peanut Butter Conspiracy (7/11-14), Spirit and Time (7/10-14), Earth Opera (7/17-21), the Sunshine Company (7/19-21) and Jefferson Airplane with Iron Butterfly (7/24). Thin flat stock flyers are all in mint to near mint (A/A- to A-/B+) condition (the Country Joe flyer has a bit of creasing along the top edge, a diagonal bend in the lower left corner and a small edge tear in the bottom center, the others are essentially clean. ULTRA-nifty set of ORIGINAL 1968 'Lectric Theater flyers from the infamously tumultuous summer in Chicago. Want to have a look inside the venue?
