Original 1st printing 14&1/4 x 21&3/4" concert/event poster for the 1st Northern California Folk-Rock Festival, held at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose, CA on 5/18-19/1968. Poster lists performances by Jefferson Airplane, the Doors, Country Joe & the Fish, the Animals, Taj Mahal, Ravi Shankar, Electric Flag, Big Brother & the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), the Youngbloods and Kaleidoscope. Also appeared (not listed): the Grateful Dead, Crome Syrcus, Trans-Atlantic Railroad and more. Design by Carson Morris Studios, the image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 232 (plate 2.341). Medium flat vellum stock program is in absolutely fantastic mint/near mint (A/A- to A-) condition; an overall stunning example of the hard-to-find thicker vellum stock version of this poster.
