Original 1st printing 14&1/8 x 20" concert poster for Jefferson Airplane with Big Brother & the Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at Losers South in San Jose, CA on 8/2-5/1966 (run was shortened by 2 days, as noted by the purple ink overprint at the top). Art by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley, image is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 231 (plate 2.336). Medium-thick flat vellum stock poster is in decent/used (B-) condition; a light to moderate amount of toning, a few small moisture stains, a moderate degree of edge fraying/wear/toning, a few tiny scattered surface dings, several horizontal stress bends, a set of tack/pin holes in all four corners, several edge tears/nicks (from about 1/4"- 2" in size) scattered around the outer edges (the largest one goes through the "E" of "DANCE"), handling/creasing, bits of clear tape on the reverse... this was a VERY well-loved poster, and it shows. Still, a nice charming example of a hard-to-find Mouse/Kelley AOR poster with the purple "DANCE" overprinting at the top.
