Original 1st printing 14 x 20&1/8" concert poster for NYC blues-folk-rockers the Blues Project (featuring Al Kooper) with the Great Society (featuring Grace Slick) at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA on 4/22-23/1966. Art by Wes Wilson, image is # 5 in the Family Dog/Avalon series. Medium flat vellum stock poster is in good (B to B/B-) condition; several scattered pin/tack holes in the four corners of the outer black border and in the four corner tips, a 1" v-shaped wedge tear and a dime-sized smudge in the lower right corner, a couple of small rust stains in the center of the image, a few scattered surface stains and a couple of tape marks on the reverse, otherwise a very charming-looking example of this early Family Dog image (the first full color poster in the series) for the non-discriminating collector.
